Context
OSOS Network is the federation of Polish associations that are operating using the method of streetwork and outreach work with different excluded groups: street children, drug addicted people, persons who sell sex, homeless people. OSOS was created to support streetworkers as a platform of communication, information, trainings, exchange of good practices and joint projects. Its objective is also to promote and develop streetwork and support new initiatives of this kind.
Projects
OSOS holds regular meetings of representatives of the associations involved in the Network during which streetworkers form different parts of the country have opportunity to communicate and define objectives of the Network based on their needs. OSOS organises workshops and trainings for streetworkers in order to rise up their qualifications and skills- to make their work more professional and efficient. Except for trainings the plans of OSOS for 2009 are: to translate into Polish, publish and distribute “Methodological Guidebook on Social Streetwork”, organise national conference promoting streetwork, create the website with practical information for polish streetworkers.
