OCTOBER 2011

EDITORIAL

We're already on the last part of 2011 and the clock is ticking fast, especially in the context of daily news related to today’s crisis, with threats of recession, cuts and adjustments of the welfare state... This process that we live today in Europe is already known to other continents and therefore we need to strengthen our partnerships in order to face the future together. This first year working with the Progress program is allowing us to address more activities and further strengthen our network. The time has come to make an initial assessment and set the stage for next year, and to that end all European coordinators will hold a meeting in Warsaw. The training group continues its work, this time with the contribution of Mexican educators who have organized an international working group. We are constantly receiving more and more news of international meetings, courses or initiatives organized by other networks or agents. We hope to account for all of them in our newsletter. Maybe we can highlight a novelty: the 1st Photograph Contest “Our Streets”, which seeks to give voice to the people on the street, spreading their way of seeing the country and city. We encourage you to participate.
We continue working and building our network. May all of us carry on in high spirits.
